Every session starts with a choice of where to be. Alongside the worlds other players build, the game ships with a small set of venues that everyone can reach.

The seven standard locations

A community guide to locations and the world editor lists seven venues that come with the game:

• Saloon

• Beach

• Love Island

• Fresco Club

• Yacht

• Night Club

• Sin Club

The same guide characterises the Sin Club as the busiest of them, the Saloon as a western setting, and the Yacht as a smaller, more private venue. Those are impressions rather than mechanics, but they are a fair guide to the kind of evening each one tends to produce.

My World

Beside the standard venues sits My World, the home every account has. The guide describes it as freely editable, from a small apartment to a nightclub or a resort, and notes that other players can be given access to it.

Choosing a location

The Select Location button sits in the bottom-left corner of the screen, next to the character editor. A cloud icon beside it changes the time of day, which is the quickest way to change the feel of a venue without changing the venue.
