What is stored

• Your account: display name, email address, password hash, verification state, and preferred language.
• Your contributions: revisions, translations, edit summaries, sources, uploads, and reports.
• Security data: session records with the IP address and browser user agent that created them, rate-limit counters, and authentication events such as sign-ins, verifications, and password resets.
• Moderation records: reports, decisions, reason codes, sanctions, and a tamper-evident audit chain.

Retention

• Raw IP addresses and user agents are removed after 30 days.
• Rate-limit counters are deleted as soon as their window expires.
• Authentication events are deleted after 180 days.
• Contribution attribution, moderation decisions, and the audit chain are kept for as long as the wiki operates, because the encyclopaedia has to stay attributable and inspectable.

Public profiles

A public profile shows only a display name, the month the account joined, a trusted-contributor marker where it applies, and published contributions. Email addresses, IP addresses, authentication events, private moderator notes, and sanctions are never shown on a public page.

Cookies

Only essential cookies are used: the session cookie, security cookies, the theme choice, the language choice, and the 18+ confirmation. There is no advertising and there are no behavioural analytics.

Deleting your account

You can request deletion from your account settings. The account is blocked immediately and anonymized by a background job after a 24-hour grace period: credentials, sessions, verification tokens, the email address, and the recorded IP data are deleted. Your published contributions stay, credited either to your display name or to a stable deleted-user label, because they are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 and other people have built on them.

No backups

The owner has decided against backups of the database, media, and configuration. Revision history protects against bad edits, but it does not protect against disk failure, server loss, database corruption, root-level mistakes, or ransomware. Losing the server may therefore destroy every article, image, and account on this wiki permanently.
