The character editor is where an avatar is built and rebuilt. It is reachable from the bottom-left corner of the screen at any time, so appearance is not a decision taken once at sign-up and then lived with.

Opening the editor

A community interface guide places the Character Editor button in the bottom-left cluster, beside Select Location. The same button is described as the way both to adjust the character you are playing and to switch to another one.

More than one character

Characters belong to the account, and extra ones are bought rather than granted. A community guide to the in-game currency lists an additional character slot at 10,000 XGold, and describes it as a fresh start that does not cost you the character you already have. The XGold balance is shared across the whole account, so a slot bought on one character is paid for out of the same purse as everything else.

Changing a name or a gender

Name and gender changes happen in the game rather than in the editor, and they are the one appearance change with an official price. Official support describes the path: log in, click the gear button under your character, and choose Change Name and Gender. Twenty thousand XGold is deducted when the change goes through, and the same single fee covers changing the name and the gender together.

The official rules apply to whatever name is chosen. Names that carry profanity, insults, discriminatory or supremacist content, references to the abuse of minors, or copyrighted and trademarked material may be changed or sanctioned by the administration.
